Ingredients
Method
- Place a large skillet over medium-high heat and add a small amount of oil if your beef is very lean.
- Add the ground beef to the hot pan and break it apart with a sturdy spatula. Brown the meat thoroughly.
- Once the beef starts to lose its pink color, add the diced onions to the pan and sauté until translucent.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about thirty seconds.
- Sprinkle the chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper over the mixture and stir well.
- Pour in the beef broth or water and lower the heat to a simmer. Let the liquid reduce for about five minutes.
- Prepare your taco shells according to the package instructions.
- Once the liquid has mostly evaporated, remove the skillet from the heat and squeeze fresh lime juice over the beef.
- Assemble your tacos by spooning beef into each shell and topping with your favorite ingredients.
Notes
For best results, warm taco shells in the oven before serving. Adjust seasoning to taste.
