Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 2-3 teaspoons cotton candy flavoring/extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon pink gel food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup optional cotton candy pieces for mix-ins

Method

  1. Chill your mixing bowl and beaters in the freezer for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Pour the heavy whipping cream into your chilled bowl and beat on medium-high speed until stiff peaks form, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, cotton candy extract, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix thoroughly and add pink food coloring to desired shade.
  4. Gently fold the condensed milk mixture into the whipped cream using a rubber spatula.
  5. If adding cotton candy pieces, fold them in now.
  6. Transfer the mixture into a freezer-safe container and smooth the top.
  7. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight.

Notes

Chill your bowl and beaters for better whipping. Use gel food coloring for vibrant hues. Let ice cream sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before scooping.
