- Remove cream cheese from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for 30-45 minutes.
- Place the softened cream cheese in a medium mixing bowl and beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for about one minute until fluffy and smooth.
- Sift cocoa powder and powdered sugar together, then gradually add to the cream cheese while beating on low speed, increasing to medium after incorporation.
- Add vanilla extract and beat for another 30 seconds. Then, add heavy cream one tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or cocoa as needed.
