Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 3 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, divided
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F and lightly grease a large pizza pan or baking sheet.
  2. Roll out your pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to a 12-14 inch circle or rectangle and transfer it to the prepared pan.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and creamy.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
  5. Arrange apple slices over the cream cheese layer in overlapping circles or rows.
  6. Mix brown sugar with the remaining 1 teaspoon cinnamon and sprinkle it evenly over the apple slices.
  7. Bake for 15-18 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the apples soften slightly.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes, then drizzle warm caramel sauce over the pizza and add chopped pecans if desired.
  9. Slice and serve immediately while still warm.

Notes

Slice apples uniformly thin for even cooking. Bring cream cheese to room temperature for smooth spreading. Serve immediately after adding caramel for the best experience.
